Jesus "JR" Revezzo - Kali Kenpo 4th Degree Black Belt

JR’s journey in the martial arts began at a young age from his father John, whose studies included boxing, jujitsu and gung fu under Grandmaster Ark Yuey Wong.
JR briefly took some lesson around the age of six in a kickboxing/Tae Kwon Do class that was short lived but the interest was always there. In the summer of 1993 JR began training in an offshoot of Tracy ‘s Kenpo and jujitsu under instructor Rich Alford in Clearwater Florida. With Mr. Alford JR trained until January of 1997 in which time he achieved his second degree black belt as well as the Florida League of Martial Artist, FLMA, overall points state champion in forms and fighting in 1995, advance men 18-34 and 1996, black belt men 18-34. From January of 1997 until February in 1999 JR’s training was self directed using various books and videos by Mr. Parker and Mr.
Tatum. Late in the month of February 1999 JR, by chance, met up with an instructor named Kenny Gonzalez and has not looked back since. Under Mr. G, JR achieved his third degree black belt in American Kenpo in March of 2002. Along the path with Mr. G, JR has had the honor of training under top instructors such as
Sonny Puzikas, Ron Boswell, Tuhon Ray Dianaldo, Guro Ray Cole and Valdimir Vasiliev. In the past year JR spent time co-operating a small Kenpo school with a friend and sheriff deputy Todd Nellenbach, the two are working on establishing a class for deputies using Kali Kenpo principles. Much appreciation to all the great practitioners and instructors involved in all of our history, with each of their knowledge and unique skill giving to us the tools to walk the creative practical progressive path that we are now on.
